 I've dreamed of being a writer since I was nine years old. This passion, and the feeling that a story was always formulating in my mind, began during the hours-long drives on family camping and skiing trips, simply by watching the world go by.

 For over two decades, I balanced writing with a full-time job in the media industry—then I pivoted. After a multi-state drive to Yellowstone, where I had hours of solitude (and the shock of nearly hitting a bear), I had a clear path in mind. Just two weeks after the trip, I left my agent; eleven months later, I had my first movie option.

 I expected publishing my stories would be the source of my happiness. However, the greater reward has proven to be the support of my readers, many of whom have become dear friends. Without them, this journey of doing what I love would not be possible.
